Medicaid Coverage of Physical Therapy

Outpatient physical therapy is covered by Maryland's HealthChoice medical assistance program (Medicaid). The treatment cost is normally fully covered by Medicaid, and usually there is no cost to the patient. We participate with Maryland's Medicaid program (HealthChoice) and most of the Managed Care Organizations (MCO's) including Amerigroup, Maryland Physicians Care, Priority Partners, UnitedHealthcare, and Riverside Health.

How to Start Receiving Treatment?

You need a referral or prescription from your physician (e.g. your primary care physician).

How Can We Help?

We are a Medicaid certified and approved outpatient physical therapy and rehab facility. Our licensed physical therapists have extensive experience in treating Medicaid patients. Our therapists will assess your condition and prescribe a treatment plan to get you back to an active lifestyle. We will keep your referring physician updated of your progress, at least monthly, to make sure the medical necessity criterion set by Medicaid is met, and that Medicaid will cover the therapy expenses.
