Physical Therapy Aide volunteer / intern in Rockville, Gaithersburg, Germantown Maryland (MD)

The physical therapy aide volunteer / intern opportunities are designed to provide candidates interested in working in the medical field, especially outpatient physical therapy, with the hands-on training and experience required to pursue a medical career, and meet the observation requirements for admission into medical degrees.  Responsibilities of this position include assisting patients throughout the clinic.  Candidates typically volunteer at a minimum 4 hours a day, and 2 to 3 days a week for at least 3 months.  This is an unpaid position, with the potential of becoming a paid position depending on the candidate's performance and our hiring needs. 

What are we looking for?
  • MUST be willing to commit for at least 3 months as a volunteer/intern.
  • MUST be available at least 4 hours a day, 2 to 3 days a week.
  • MUST be excited about learning and working in the medical field, especially outpatient physical therapy.
  • MUST have a pleasant and outgoing personality (a people's person).
  • Willingness and availability to pursue a paid aide position with our clinic after completing the internship is a plus.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
